The Half Brioche Stitch
The one thing I have discovered about the Brioche Stitch, whether it be half or whole, there are several different methods of knitting this stitch. While looking on line for the Half Brioche Stitch, I found several different ways to make it, each with a little different look.
This is a good stitch for just about anything that you want to have texture. A man's scarf would be lovely in this or something as simple as a washcloth. How about a fingerless glove? Use your imagination with this stitch. Only a 4 row repeat!
Row 1: Purl
Row 2 (right side): K1, *K1 in st below, k1; repeat from * to end
Row 3: Purl
Row 4: K1 in st below, *K1, K1 in st below; rep from * to end
Repeat these four rows.
This pattern is in Multiples of 2+1.
If you don't know how to knit into the stitch below watch this U-Tube video for some instruction or ofcourse you can always come in the store and we would be happy to show you.
