Some info.

We had a terrific showing for our Charity Knit!  Everyone who came out enjoyed some wine and cheese and some time spending time with their fellow knitters.  Charity Knits meets the fourth Friday of every month form 6:00-8:00pm. 

Just a reminder, if you haven't used the fabulous coupon found in our most recent Newsletter, hurry on in!  The last day to use it is tomorrow, the day before July 4th.  Speaking of July 4th, we will be closed.  If you don't get our Newsletter, come in and sign up or call us and we can sign you up!

Spinning News

Ewenice is learning trying to Spin!

1st Thursday of every month 6:00-8:00 (starting July 5th)
We are changing up our Spinning Classes and starting a Spinning Group.  
.  We are now starting our monthly Spinning Classes with a more focused topic each month.  Starting this Thursday, Amy will be teaching how to make an even Navajo ply, creating a three ply yarn from a single ply. 

Sundays 2:00-4:00 (starting July 8th)
We are starting a Sunday Spinning Group.  Bring your wheel or spindle, socialize, share knowledge with others and get inspired.  There will be no instruction provided, if you need instruction consider coming to the once a month Thursday group. 

FYI - The beginning crochet class dates have changed.  They are now July 29, Aug 5,12,19.

SSK leans to the right

K 2tog leans to the left

The difference between SSK and K2tog is the way they lean.  If you are making a garment that has decreasing on both sides you want one decrease to lean to the left and one to lean to the right.

The Book "Knitting in the Old Way" shows many different techniques such as these two methods of decrease and the different uses for them.  It answers the simpliest of questions to showing you how to shape a jacket.
